U.S. stock futures point to a higher opening Wednesday morning as a slight increase in crude oil price ahead of customary oil inventory report may generate some buying interest in the commodity space.
As of 6.15 am ET, the Dow futures were up 28.00 points, the S&P futures were up 4.00 points, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 futures were up 6.75 points.
On the economic front, traders will focus on the wholesale inventories report for November, slated to be released by the Commerce Department at 10.00 a.m. ET. Economists expect that wholesale inventories at the end of the month declined 0.5%.
